Class 1S
In 1S we are learning all about the Olympics. We have found out what the first Olympics were like and during our Ancient Greek morning we found out about what the Ancient Greeks wore, ate, and travelled. The spicy oranges were scrumptious!
We are looking forward to Olympic Challenges in PE and practising our athletics on Sports Day.
We have written letters to Queen Elizabeth to invite her to our Diamond Jubilee Celebrations at the end of this half term.
We are practising our times tables including the 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s.
When we are writing we are trying to use paragraphs, openers, and adding details to make our writing interesting.
We are having lots of fun in Year 1!
Making a laurel wreath – the Ancient Greeks gave the winners Laurel wreaths. It was tricky to make because we did not have any selotape or glue we just had the leaves and the sticks.
