Class 2S
Hello everyone!
We really enjoyed our first term in 2S! Sarah, Barbara and Sheila helped us learn all about famous people including David Beckham, Florence Nightingale, Walt Disney, Roald Dahl and Samuel Pepys. When we were learning about Walt Disney, we all came into school dressed as Disney characters! We spent the day with Buzz Lightyear, Lightening McQueen, Princess Belle, Prince Charming, Woody, Darth Vader and Captain Jack Sparrow! It was a really fantastic day!
In Numeracy we learnt how to weigh objects using scales. To practice our weighing skills, we made bread and carefully weighed the ingredients. The bread was delicious!
This term we are learning about Africa! We have already learnt that there are over 2000 languages spoken in Africa and some children in Africa aren’t as lucky as we are. We are interested to find out about African food, African music, African clothes and if every country in Africa is hot! We are also really excited for the African Safari day where we will be dressing up as African animals!
In Numeracy we are continuing to learn our times tables. We are hoping to do really well in the timestableathon during Maths week!
