Class 3D

This term the whole school’s topic is based on ‘The Olympics’, set by our lovely Head Teacher; Neena. As part of a school competition, the entire school had a task of creating an interesting Olympic poster during the Easter holidays. The prize for year 3 was a souvenir and for years 4 to 6 was a visit to the Olympic park. The winners from our class for the best Olympic poster were; Uzair, Wafa and Tasnim – so well done! In our class 3D, we have been learning about the different sports involved in the Olympics. Our interest on learning further information and facts about the Olympics was due to our amazing parent’s assembly performance last term.

Currently we are having a class debate on whether certain sports should be in the Olympics or not, and to justify our reasons for these. It’s going great so far! We also carried out some research and collected information on famous athletes who once took part in the Olympics. To further support our learning on the Olympics, we have assemblies that enlighten our knowledge about the history of the Olympics. Finally, the whole school is hoping that in 8 years time the Olympics will return back to London. Fingers crossed!
