Hello and welcome to 4J’s home page

After a great first two terms we are all glad to be back and we’re all looking forward to our new topic, the Olympics. We will be learning all about the up and coming games and looking closely at team GB to find out more about the people we will be cheering on. We have already learnt some interesting facts. Did you know that the 5 Olympic rings represent each continent that takes part in the games?

We will also be continuing to improve our reading, writing and numeracy this term. We’re hoping that by the end of the term everyone will be able to write really interesting sentences by using ambitious vocabulary and embedded clauses in their writing.

Every week we go swimming and we are starting to become very good at it. Many of the children in 4J can now swim a whole width of the pool without stopping. By the end of the term we are hoping to get into the big pool and swim across it. Inspired by the Olympics, we’re also looking to improve our fitness and stamina. We will be doing some extra running each week to help with this and we’re looking to improve our times every week.

We know this term is going to be even better than the last!
