Class 4C

starting blocksThank you to the parents who introduced themselves to me and tried to make me feel welcome. I am very happy to be teaching such a lovely, poilte group of children.

This term our new topic is ‘The Olympics', and thi sis the topic for the whole school since the Olympics is going to be happening right at our doorstep. During this topic we will be learning about the athletes, and making comparisons between ancient Olympics and the ancient games. We have already done lots of research and found out lots about the Olympics.

We are also very excited about doing lots of art work this term. Using clay, we will create a sculpture of an athlete in action, as well as using our sketching skills to create an athlete in action on a canvas.

We are currently trying to improve our timestables and corresponding division facts, and getting ourselves on the Olympian board. Ask you child about where they are on the Timestables Olympian Board.

Here is what the children need to achieve to move across the Olympian board:
Bronze = 2,5,10, 3 x
Silver = 4,6, 7, 8 x and division facts
Gold = 9, 11, 12 – 20 x and division facts
