Class 5D

We are 5D and we work in Classroom 4. Our teacher is Dan, except on Thursday afternoon when Iain teaches us. We are very lucky this term to have Krupali working with us too.
 
Last term, we learnt all about World War Two and how it affected the country and the local area. We are extremely lucky to have a survivor of the Holocaust coming to speak to us in a couple of week's time! Half of us also visited the Barge again, and had an excellent time! Our photgraph shows some of us having to prepare our own rooms by making out own beds.
 
This term, as the Olympics are just around the corner, we have begun to learn all about them. We are talking about the modern Olympics, but also finding out about the Ancient Greek games too. Did you know that in the wrestling event, competitors used to poke the eyes of their opponents?
 
We are also hoping that the weather improves so that we can hold our own mini Olympic games, and practise our athletic skills, ahead of sports day, which this year, we are having at Newham Leisure Centre!
