Class 2J

We are 2J. Jenna is our class teacher but every Wednesday Iain teaches us. We also have Sheila helping us to learn for half of the week.
Last term we learnt about Samuel Pepys. He is a famous writer who wrote diary entries about the great fire of London. We wrote about his life and sketched him in our art lessons. In ICT, we created pictures of the Great Fire of London. We enjoyed learning about Samuel Pepys and other famous people such as David Beckham, Roald Dahl and Florence Nightingale. We visited Madame Tussauds and saw many other famous people – this was extremely exciting!
This term we are learning all about Africa. So far, we know that there are 2000 languages spoken there and there are 54 countries in the continent of Africa. We are going to learn about African people and how their lives are different from ours. We are also looking forward to having a safari day, where we will dress up as African animals and learn all about them. In 2J most of us really enjoy our art lessons. This term we will hope to make African masks and are really looking forward to those lessons.
Every day, we make sure we work really hard!
