e-safety
At St Stephen’s Primary, safety is an important part of our school ethos.
As technology is playing a bigger part in our children’s lives, we now need to ensure they are aware of the risks involved and are being safe when using the internet.
Please follow these guidelines below and take a look at the following links to help us in safeguarding your children whilst using computers at home.
Tips for Safe use of the computer at home:
1. Make sure you know which internet sites your child is using.
2. Children in primary school should not have a computer in their bedroom.
3. If your child uses social networking sites e.g. MSN Messenger, make sure you know who they are in contact with.
4. Please remember Facebook states; ‘If you are under 13, you are not allowed to use the site.’ Please check that your child does not have access to a Facebook page.
